I was talking to an older guy in my ward the other day. He told me back in 1977 his 21 yr old female cousin "ran off to California with some guy" and was never heard from or seen again. When I asked him more about the situation, he said it was not unheard of in the 70s for someone to run off and disappear. He and his family have no idea what happened to her. She still hasn't turned up anywhere.
