There was a kid in my priests quorum that joined the circus (yep...you read that
right) They came to town and he decided he wanted the life of a carny.
So his parents filed a missing child report. He never returned, as far as I know. I ran into his younger brother about 10 years afterward and he still hadn't had any contact with his family. I don't know if they ever presumed he was dead, but kinda 'missing', I guess?
