Amen. If we really want BYU to succeed then we should pray for a LaVell
& keep it in God's hands.
I wish I had minded this more over the years. BYU thinks & acts on a frustratingly small & insular level regarding athletic excellence in the glittery, national-level money-makers — but the big-market solution to winning at that level (& all the risks that come with that) — I have to admit might not be appropriate for BYU.
Just like they might not be appropriate in my own life to the degree I've put them.
