It's commentary on the fake statement of contrition. If these CEO's were truly
taking full responsibility for business decisions that they themselves are claiming directly led to the laying off of thousands of employees (therefore these CEO's failed at their jobs), shouldn't the CEO's be stepping down?
If they aren't stepping down, then it's a lie to state they are taking full responsibility.
