dominant religion and there were a couple of comments they made in class - but they were in classes where it was relevant and the comments generally did concern the topic being discussed at hand (like in one of my Sociology classes). But it was pretty isolated and it was no big deal. I definitely never felt threatened, persecuted, or like my religion was being denigrated.

I think it's good to be able to hear the occasional criticism of your faith system and not become indignant.
