some of their Paid Time Off for that? If so, that's not something you should or need to ask about.
If you mean they're regularly asking to leave work during the middle of the day for something and NOT using official Paid Time Off, that would be different if there's a pattern or suspected overuse.
"Hey Boss, I'm going to slip out from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, is that cool?"
"Hey Boss, I won't be in until 10:30 AM tomorow for something, sound good?"
"Hey Boss, I'll be taking off at 2:30 PM today for something, we good?"
