Yes EV’s can run on any kind of electrical generation. Problem is that a good portion of that uses fossil fuels still because our government hates nuclear energy. Also, the fact is that EV proponents also commonly ignore trading one finite resource for another, and the environmental impact of mining lithium, cobalt and the other materials used in manufacturing batteries.
