Correction - No EVs get the range their ICE counterparts have.
The only draw back of driving an EV - The battery pack.

#1) It's expensive
#2) It takes much longer to fill up then a gas tank.

There is the positive of a low center of gravity and safety in a wreck associated with the battery pack. But this also wears out tires faster.

But when you look past the battery pack, everything is better. Electric engines are quieter, more efficient, and provide better traction. They also give you free regenerative braking . Due to the location and position of the battery pack you get a front trunk for extra storage. The design options are more plentiful because there is no engine transmission combo to limit your front end design options (mostly in race cars)

But at the end of the day, the battery pack alone will keep millions of people away as the price and range inconvenience are not fun to deal with.

P.S. I love EVs and I drive one. But I understand the price and charging complications are both major barriers that you can avoid with a ICE/Hybrid.
