Because UW and O would never go to the Big 12.

The name of the game will still be competitiveness at this point. Prestige, rankings, playoff berths.

Utah has completely dominated the south, especially vs. programs like Arizona and CU.

If the Big 12 wanted to expand, they'd take Oregon, UW then Utah in that order.

The first two wouldn't come. Utah would be a huge get. Everyone in the Big 12 would be thrilled except...
