Except Pope has shown an ability to coach consistent teams. You are stretching.
The team is young. They make mistakes and turn the ball over too much, as a young team. The turnovers and not having a consistent, #1 scoring option lead us to struggle to put teams away. This isn’t cosmic stuff.
Also, everything you think you know about building a team should be thrown out the window in today’s CBB environment. The roster turns over every year, key pieces leave before you can develop them into what you want. There’s no such thing as “year two of the rebuild”. Every year is a rebuild that produces a new team.

The key to a season like this is keeping everyone around. If we have a mass exodus like last year, it will be pointless.

analytically they've regressed in pretty much every area each of the last 4 years. It's a hard trend to ignore.
