poor recruiting and development strategy. We only lost 2 senior contributors from last year but he has had major underclassmen overhauls the last several years. The transfer portal is a definite factor but many programs are doing extremely well despite that. We are continually moving backward with him. He is not a great x’s and o’s coach by his own admission. Recruiting and motivation are his main strengths and both have been severely lacking. The program feels stale and needs a shake up whether that is by firing Pope or bringing in better assistants. The status quo will net us a less than 10 win season in the Big 12 for years to come.
