I had to learn to give myself permission to spend money, it was a challenge at
first as an aggressive saver (usually 40-50% was invested). I have now brought that number down into the 25-32% range and feel very good about where I am at. I have a minimum floor that I invest of 20% because a I see 15% thrown a round a lot and I want to be conservative and have more flexibility in the future on retirement and money. But having a budget that gives me permission to spend dollars on travel or a nicer restaurant (or even Wendy's) has been a life changer for me. I at times still fight the should I just save more now to have more financial freedom in the future, but I keep pushing myself to enjoy the now as well as planning for the future. Good Luck.
