30 million is a super lowball offer when you consider the production costs
That the conference will bare off 80 to 100 million per year. That makes your total pakage 20 to 22 million per year.
Two notes on this, they would do it because it allows them to see that one 30 million they are almost equal with the big 12.
Everybody is forgetting to divide by 11 instead of 10 probably because of 10 is an easier number to divide by.
The issue is that they will subtract the production costs before they divide by 11 so when you do your math start with 30 million subtract 80 or 100 million and then divide by 11 which will give you the per school payout
