There’s truth to that.
Also, the problem was the coaches disagreement with club sport rules of BYU. I know this cause I talked with their two main coaches that moved to UVU for a season and then got more pay to coach at SVU.
Coaches were angry that they were forced to play players that really had no busy being on the field because they were a club sport. Their concern was the safety of BYU students signing up and having no skills with a Rugby ball and all they had was a burning desire cause they watched Forever Strong.
The coaches also felt they weren’t respected and given money to help their program grow. If fact their program started failing when BYU club sports started dipping their hand and controlling their coaches. Forcing them to play all students in their club sport… yet they were getting hurt playing against a competitive league.
Lack of money
Lack of respect
Club sports controlling
Asked for scholarships due to their national dominance and denied
Money in recruiting denied
Safety of the novices kids
The coaches also felt less than due to the Athletic Department allowing them to be present as just club and their players being able to play two way football and rugby. Yet weren’t given respect in development and bring players to their football team.
Forced the coaches to leave.
