I don't feel like leading every encounter I have with my BYU allegiance. It got old dealing with stupid comments. Usually minor stuff, but it got old.

I was brand new in a neighborhood and was probably wearing a BYU shirt and a guy introduced himself by telling me he would rather die than go to BYU. Maybe it was an icebreaker, but it seemed a little too sincere. He was an Aggie so I shifted to talking about all of the games/events I go to in Logan. But just one example of how weird people can be. Want to talk about a game, or ask about someone's tickets, or the upcoming season for your team or theirs - all seam like obvious ways to discuss the teams while supporting your own. Not sure why it is so hard for some.
