Approx. 2/3rds of our alumni live outside of Utah. 99% of theirs live in-state.
Just like the alumni of most state-educated commuter schools you'll find anywhere.
And if I lived in Utah (I don't), why would I want any semblance of the color red either on the "Utah" or anywhere else on my BYU license plate?
The BYU plate that is available in Texas has no red on it whatsoever, and whoever designed this one in Utah that added a smidge of red is obviously a Yewt. No self-respecting BYU fan wants any shade of red on a BYU license plate. That's why I never got this plate during the 5 years I lived in UT after graduation before moving out of state.
