Its one main reason for sure. One of many. Here's a bunch more:
1. I don't want to stand out for any reason on the road- road rage, cops, etc. I can understand the wanting to stand out if you love a really nice cars etc but some of us are not like that. I'm not trying to say anything about myself with my car. Not even a point of pride, I'm simply honesty when I say, that is why I would never own any vehicle that looks special even if I were worth billions. Just not who I am.

2. If I accidently cut someone off or offend someone on the road I don't want them surprised a BYU fan would do that or validated that they hate BYU because of my mistake. Frankly I have had this happen multiple times. Some punk in a BYU BMW looks like he purposefully jumping a gap and giving me a scare without caring for anyone other than himself and I wish he and I were not associated with the same school he is.

3. Don't want it vandalized because of affiliation. I have been yelled at angrily by anti LDS a couple times and one dude wanted to start something with me when I did nothing to insight it. I didn't even talk back which was very difficult to do. Rare circumstances for sure and I'm pretty sure the dudes were inebriated but that's how it would play out if someone were to vandalize my car too. As of now there would be no reason to vandalize my car. Why give someone an excuse when they aren't in their right mind?
