Do you feel like that team could compete for a title in the next 2-3 years?
I guess that is the question. If so then you absolutely keep the team together.
To me it isn't about maximizing your win totals each year. Clearly Markkanen is the better option for that short term. But maximizing the opportunity you have to compete for a title. Growing a team together generally leads to that, but certainly not always.
