The point is BYU is trailing in HS recruiting and outlook rn is not good.

Also the effect of 6th year players in the transfer portal does not have a negative impact that is specific to BYU recruiting. BYU is trailing in HS recruiting. There needs to be a significant shift upwards for the 2024 HS class to be as good or better than 2023. Right now it looks to be on pace for a poor finish.
