I think the fun part of college football is regional rivalry. As our conference sits we feel a little out of place geographically even though it seems like somewhat of a fit culturally.

Look we all want to see Utah squirm and we all may at times think wouldn't it be great if utah got totally left out of the three best conferences and were relegated somehow to some sort of mountain west conference junior league... If that what happens I won't complain about it. I would be a nice outcome.

But I think it is a great scenario if BYU ended up in a conference that had games against the best teams from Utah Arizona Colorado etc. It just makes sense travel wise and its best that way for fans and families and players and recruits. Heck i wouldn't even mind Boise State and Washington State thrown in there. Those are fun games. But a rivalry game vs Utah at the end of the year that could send one or the other to the college football playoff...thats compelling to me... call me crazy.

All this talk about markets and TV... its lame and its not sports. Its lost sight of what makes college football great. We've been dominant over Utah before in the same conference and we can do it again. I think its lame to try to avoid them and hope they get left out. It was lame what they did to us. Why do it to them? Are we as lame as them?
