Cancelled a 100 year old basketball rivalry over a slap for being 'unsafe'? was that fun?

How about when you learned Utah sabotaged BYU's independent move for their olympic sports in the WAC for no reason other than spite? also fun?

How about when Utah cancelled BYU independent games in 2004 and 2005 when BYU needed independent games desperately? That was really fun. Or when Utah said they needed to dumb down their schedule for the ridiculous pac-12 conference schedule and then went out and replaced BYU with Michigan. Can you believe they fell for that?! how fun!

how about when Utah sent BYU's honor code office pictures of HC infractions for key byu players the week of the rivalry? not Utah's fault he broke the rules and they held on to the evidence for months amirite? that was hilarious.

How about when Utah was being considered for the Pac-12. Now that Utah was the big dog, did they offer any support to add BYU in place of CU on behalf of BYU, just like BYU brought Utah along multiple times in the history with the WAC and the MWC? of course not! why would Utah return the favor !?

Was the rivalry fun when Utah players mock baptized each other, or the weekly Ute Jello shots in LDS sacrament trays? Even if it wasn't me, glad someone was having fun mocking my religion

And that of course is ignoring the incredible Ute vitriol on display in every BYU article comment section, plastered all over twitter on every piece of BYU news and Big 12 news, and has become so bad that nearly every big 12 sports blog is unanimously against adding utah to the Big12? I'm sure they're just joshing us!

I mean....it's all just so much fun for everyone, why on earth would BYU fans think Utah has poisoned the well, become completely toxic and want to stop all the fun??!!
