Not just BYU sports, it seems UoU has a religious level hatred for everything
BYU stands for.
I know it's not everyone associated with UoU. And many at BYU don't stand for what BYU represents, but in general, BYU stands for higher education in the Lord's way. That rubs some people the wrong way.
In general, as BYU's "rival", they've taken opposition to BYU beyond sports to oppose BYU.
No offense intended to ALUF's.
