I think this is why being totally dominant in basketball matters.
Of course, football is king. But during basketball season, basketball is king and when March Madness roles around, it's everything.
The chance that the Big 12 could be relegated is nil. The anti-trust and public relations implications would be huge. Sadly, that means that any remnant of the Pac also won't be relegated, even if it is two thirds made up of MWC teams.
