I hope this next year having the majority of starters be portal players is just a 'loading for BIG12' fluke.

I've heard morale on the team is low and player loyalty to the staff is lower... If this creates a cycle of transfers out / transfers in then we turn out to be like USU which takes ~40 players every year.

It reduces 'true' BYU Alumni players (If a guy plays for 3 teams in the 3 years he plays CFB... what school is he from?)
It creates a bad stigma for HS recruits (I've heard this from current 'mid-tier' HS guys with offers)
It creates problems with BIG12 scholarship rules (can't pull scholarships).

I won't even bring up the fact that a few of the new transfer guys are breaking HC rules left and right... causing more conflict with players who follow the HC.
