I’m especially not happy when they lose to teams they should not. I’m especially happy when they beat teams they should not. But those expectations are based on actual game results not what some media members think.
They had a good season that could have been great with a tournament win or two. The expectations for the season had no bearing on that definition. I believe those are the same standards every year in defining good versus great.
But I know not everyone views things that way and that’s OK
I will say having those negative expectations, probably motivated the team a lot and probably took any sort of target off our backs, which ultimately helped the team. I am not sure how we would’ve done with higher expectations, but we will see next year.
