I feel your pain but when you say "BYU Fandom," it sounds like you are limiting
your fandom opportunities. I'm a long time BYU Fan. I've had to learn to quickly forget losses and savor any BYU sports victory. Of course I probably enjoy BYU Football, Basketball and Women's Volleyball the most, but I've learned to enjoy all of the men's and women's' sports and appreciate their unique talents and their commitment to the Church's flagship university. On bad days I will quickly turn to another BYU sport and savor that victory. Thursday was a rough day for BYU sports with both the men's and women's basketball teams losing, but the baseball team had a great win on the road at Texas Tech. That was cool. Did you know that the day after those heart wrenching basketball losses that our women's softball team took down the #4/#6 ranked team in the country (OK State) with two grand slams? Watching that game and those grand slams was awesome. Those women representing the Y are awesome.

The men's volleyball team won two, five set road matches against #8 ranked Pepperdine over the weekend. It was a blast watching our guys pull both matches out with clutch plays in both fifth sets. It's so fun being considered national "Blue Bloods" in men's and women's volleyball not to mention women's soccer and both men's and women's track and field and cross country. Our golf teams have signed some great recruits lately and their future will be exciting. Both tennis teams on on the rise. Probably the coolest event this past week was seeing so many former football players gather for the alumni game. What great guys that I've had the privilege of cheering on over the years. I saw Steve Friggin Young come back to Provo to throw a few passes for old times sake. What a Pleasure it was following his college and pro careers. What a pleasure it was to watch Puka Nakua and Fred Warner have great NFL seasons this past year and to follow all of the other BYU players in the NFL.

I'm still feeling the sting of the loss, I get it. But I'm just thankful BYU offers so many other opportunities to cheer on our Cougars to victory and that I can support the wonderful men and women that represent BYU.
