Fair enough. . .But mostpeople don't save too much money in an EV on a road trip
I have enough Tesla referrals that I get free supercharging. . . So I guess I save money. . . But the general public

#1) Highway speeds. . . I typically get 3.1 mi/KWH in my model 3. A similar sized ICE Vehicle, Hyundai Elantra, They get 40ish mpg at highway speeds.
Pick a spot Bakersfield California - Very popular stop for road trips in the popular Tesla owning state.
4.45 a gallon of gas = 11 cents per mile
Supercharge ~ 45 cents per KWH = 14 cents per mile.

The real story with EVs is you save gas money with the low cost of charging overnight. . . Which is a significant amount of money. 🙂
