Exactly! Your audience doesn't know those facts, which is why I suggested a St. George or Vegas stop for the overnight.
Remember, for a family road trip you aren't taking the Elantra. Very few do that. You are going to take whatever SUV you have in the garage. Maybe it's a nice 25mpg crossover, but if you had a 16mpg 'burban it could be even more fun. ;).

"The time wasted" angle isn't forgotten, it can be dramatically played with a timer effect on the bottom of the video frame.

I'm rarely going farther than 150 miles in any car without stopping, that's miserable. I take at least 10 minutes each stop in my ICE vehicle, if a super charger can get the EV back to another 150 miles range in 10-20 minutes then the only time I'd be wasting in the EV is 5 to 10 minutes per stop.

That's only 4.5 stops between SLC and Los Angeles, so you are looking at < 1 hour time difference between an EV and ICE to go from SLC to Los Angeles. In theory. I don't think it can be done. But just maybe....it can.
