My commute was 90m-2h each way, and I had to get up at 4:45am and wouldn't get home until 7pm (10 hour work day). The commute time was due to distance, not traffic, so carpooling was the only way to not lose your shirt on gas. Carmates get really annoying, even if they're super nice guys. The one who whistles. The one who eats sunflower seeds then rolls the window down to dispose of his shells. The one who drives slow. The one with the really crappy tiny car you can barely fit into. I'm NEVER doing that again.
