Was listening to a play list and on came Smells Like Teen Spirit. It got me thinking. Then the next song was All Along
the Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix.
My thinking initially was, “was Kurt Cobain really all that as musician, or did his early death drive the narrative?” And of course being followed by Jimi Hendrix that question was driven home.
So I ask that question to the all-knowing CB, was Kurt Cobain really all that as musician, or did his early death drive the narrative?
As an adult Ive never doubted Hendrix musicianship, but have come to the thought that being a great musician doesn’t necessarily make one a great songwriter.
Was Cobain all that?
