If this system continues, college big sports will start seeing reduced interest.
In both football and basketball. It's going to happen if no changes are made. It's starting to happen now.
Just on the basis of what's transpired in the past 18 hours at BYU, I've almost completely lost all interest in next year's basketball season and for the forseeable future. So has my wallet.
No fanbase wants to see their coaching staff and roster completely overhauled on an annual basis without some type of at least partial commitment reciprocated.
