Don't get me wrong – – I do not begrudge them their opportunity to make piles of money for themselves while in college if they can do it.

With the wild west of no rules and no restrictions regarding NL and transfers, you've got kids selling themselves out on an annual basis to the highest bidder.

Institutions mean almost nothing to them beyond their abilities to command bigger and better NIL deals. Good for the athletes if they can make the money. I’m just more and more reluctant that any of it is my money.

While I love sports--whether it has been competing myself or following teams I love, no other hobby even comes close--some leagues have completely lost my interest. I’d never envisioned this happening with college sports. But it is.
