It’s smart, but give your kids their inheritance before they’re 40. Too many

upper middle class people underestimate just how much money they will have when they retire. They also underestimate the high likelihood that a huge amount of the money they save will be spent on nursing home and health care if they don’t spend it earlier.

It wasn't a waste, they were depression era kids, it was security to them. Half of it was their house.
