I find it interesting that Ambrose continues to be loved by the masses, but hated by the historical community
He wrote in a very engaging way, but his accuracy really came into question a lot. He also plagiarized from other works and used them in his books.
In grad school, if you quoted Ambrose, it was an immediate mark against.
