Always kind to give the benefit of the doubt. But I’d say it’s more likely he

was pressured to do it by a 3rd party given the intensity of the backlash. If it had been a natural response, he would have taken 2 minutes to Tweet something out a full week ago.

Glad he finally did it though. Hope he learned some important lessons about timeliness and how to treat people.
