That may be true, but why not give a kid who is talented at the HS level a chance somewhere else.
Maybe a the back up is not D1 material but could start at 10-20 schools. Why take that away because a star happens to live in the Sam boundaries.
I have seen tight boundaries. It was out east. N the public schools the schools with money always won the championship. Same 2-3 schools. Wealthy talented kids always moved in. Poorer area did not have the resources or coaching.
Only 2-3 schools via for the top spot now, but it changes over the years. Things can change with transfer options. If it is boundary only things will never change.
