Psychology has a huge range of specialties. Psychiatry is a high demand field with tons of school to end up with a lot

of med management where you crank out the evaluation and treatment plan. Most face to face time for treatment is referred out to a psych.
A PhD in psych will take 5-6 yrs but you can go a lot of different directions with it from clinical/research to private practice to community health.
