Our local psychiatrists are in the 700k range now. The specialty has exploded
The last few years. Granted a lot of that can come from side hustles (ketamine), med directorships, call… but none of that is really burdensome.
Throw in the ability for some to be cash-based and outside corporate med and the residency has become one of the more competitive ones
It would be a top 3 choice for me if I were to do it over again.
