I’m sure you’re summarizing the plaintiffs evidence and claims fairly and accurately.
People don’t award plaintiffs millions of dollars for no reason.
I’m glad this website exists for you to vent but that’s all you did. You didn’t tell us how the laceration happened or who caused it, for example. It almost sounds like he was awarded $9 million for a paper cut! That is outrageous now that you mention it! /s
You put loss of enjoyment of life in scare quotes as if it’s not a real thing. But if someone was careless or reckless and caused you to not be able to engage in bonding activities with your family for the rest of your life without severe pain, would you want to be compensated? Or would you stand up for your principles and take one for the team to keep help everyone else’s insurance premiums low?
