We had some subcontractors working on our basement when we were out of the count
For two weeks. They flipped a breaker and we came home to a big mess in our outside freezer where we had a quarter cow stored. The contractor has agreed to cover the cost for this. My wife wants to toss all of the meat but some doesn’t seem to have any leakage at all and is rock solid, you wouldn’t have been able to tell there was any issue. I feel just horrible tossing a quarter cow of waygu beef out the door even if it’s paid for but don’t want to get the whole family sick. Is there a good way to tell if meat is safe to eat? Would you guys try to keep any of it or toss it all? It’s hard to know how long the power was out but long enough that there was significant leakage from some of the larger cuts.

Any advice?
