If 9 calories per fat gram is correct then at 28.35g per ounce that means
16oz (1lb) = 4082.4 calories. For it to be 3500cal/lb it would have to be only 7.7 calories per fat gram. To be fair I've always used 3600 calories per pound, but doing the math has me rethinking things.
