It’s not unusual, weight fluctuations of +\-5 lbs are fairly standard. You can
minimize fluctuations by following a “protocol” approach. The simplest one is to weigh yourself naked first thing in the morning after urinating or having bowel movement.

It’s a fun experiment to weight yourself at 5-10 times in a single day (wearing whatever you are wearing and irrespective of food/drink). Most people have not done this and are shocked by the max/min values that you encounter in a single day.
