Just a guess, but I imagine recruiting used to be a slow process built on relationships. Now it flips fast and
anyone is available if you have the NIL ready. Hard to have a focused recruiting pool.

KY is new to the NCAA scene and new to BYU. He probably thought once he and a recruit have a deal, it's done. Not so.
