I actually think it will be a net positive. Will bring a lot more structure to
NIL and the transfer portal. If schools are paying athletes as employees, employment law will allow them to engage in collective bargaining with athlete unions so that it works for the schools, not just the athletes. The current structure gives almost all the power to the athletes. Collective bargaining will hopefully balance the power. The current system is not working for the schools.
