At LAX you have to go to the international terminal to check in
with all your luggage. We had to wait for an hour or so and it opened at 10 or something like that and then we went to the gate.
I went with my wife to Fiji about a year ago & my wife went again a few months ago & my son is on a mission there - we all did the same thing.
