Nice- love Nice. Great town. Beaches suck. Just rocks. Monaco is overrated. Just
A bunch of big condo buildings. If you like Formula One then seeing the race course is pretty cool.
IF you like hiking, there is an awesome 4 mile, straight uphill hike to a small medieval town called Eze ( like 500 AD). Probably our favorite site we saw in that region. Look it up. We hike up to the town - kicked my butt - and took taxi down to train station. Train takes you back to Nice.

I love Loire Valley as I spent most of my mission there, but not sure I'd choose to hit it over the beaches of Normandy
