That clarifies things for me
There were some parts of your post yesterday I didn't understand, so I didn't post. I'd love to hear Coach Crowton's side. How do you freak out about a walk-on you told was going to redshirt being ineligible because of a half credit transfer snafu? And I agree with you that the BYU athletic department should have caught this. It's ultimately Cade's responsibility, but it's also in the interest of the program to figure out who is eligible and who is not. The athletic department couldn't be stupid enough to take the word of the player.

Anyway, it would be interesting to hear Coach Crowton's response. I'm hoping there are mitigating facts we haven't heard. I consider Crowton to be an honest guy, unlike most college coaches. I remember a story some friends of mine who were athletic trainers at UCLA told me about Terry Donahue. Coach Donahue recruited Dokie Williams with the promise that he could run track and play football. Then when he signed, he told Williams he could run track if he never wanted to start at wide receiver for UCLA. Williams quit football, ran track, then went on to have a nice little career in the NFL. Donahue was slime.
