Not getting the point. If applicants fabricate it, or package it all in a more
attractive wrapping, doesn't serve the purposes for which it was requested. Which renders it useless. If everyone wrote the essays themselves, I would agree with you. They don't. Many have others write them. There is no value to it when that happens.

It’s really not. Too many kids are going to BYU in spite of what it stands for and not because of it.

This would be a good data point, except seminary teachers are so inconsistent. Some are all in on the rec, some couldn't
