if you feel BYU can attract top level coaching talent, despite running off a coach who has never had a losing season, then i think we have a different expectation of what BYU can reasonably expect to attract in their next coach.
i want a better coach next time, and i don't think that's going to happen if you fire him mid contract.
I don't want him back once his contract is fulfilled. that sets us up best to attract a better candidate.
