Interesting situation...
I agree. Bronco's track record for promoting and hiring coaches has been rather poor, which is why it made sense to place Anae in the driver's seat for the hiring of the offensive assistants.

Coach Tujague lacks D-1 experience, but the fact that he has been head coach of a successful JC program, and that he will be reporting to Anae has the makings of brilliancy. The recruiting pipeline just widened substantially, and Coach T has learned how to lead an entire team. Between Anae and Tujague, we have a better than ideal situation on the O line.

Coach Atuaia is a greater risk and lacks the desired experience, and yet this hire too may turn out to be a great one. He certainly has a bright mind. He worked alongside Reynolds when he coached the running backs. He will be a players coach, but command respect with his education. Most importantly Anae believed he was the best fit for the job. We all know how Via Sikahema feels about him. Atuaia will be an effective recruiter as the first Polynesian BYU player to earn a law degree and as a former academic adviser. I can see him being very effective with recruit's parents. Polynesian recruiting just took a big step forward.
